Yacumama means "Mother of the Waters" in Quechua. This pristine place offers a deep immersion into nature - just being here connected to the pure energy of the land and waters is healing in itself.
1000 feet above sea level on the Pacific coast, Yacumama is surrounded by lush verdant mountains. The land is blessed with vast ocean vistas and abundant spring water that feeds a creek on the west, flowing parallel to a river with cascades & pools on the east. Pristine beaches where the jungle meets the ocean are a 10-20 minute drive to swim & surf in warm crystal clear waters.
About half of the nearly 100 acres is forest, home to abundant wildlife with mature trees and incredible biodiversity. We have ocean breezes throughout the day and cool air from the forested mountains that descends in the evenings.
This is powerful land, where we have found many relics from the original inhabitants of this area - the Boruca tribe, one of the eight indigenous tribes of Costa Rica.

Sample Intinerary
This sacred ceremony is is an opportunity to be held by one of our sacred plant teachers, guided through dimensions of expansion and opening our eyes to see beyond our preconception of reality. Psylocibin comes along side of us to teach us, open our hearts, and bring healing to our lives. This is a medicine that literally re-wires neurons in the brain, and can help us step into a potent shift in our vibration, and therefore the vibration of the collective.
A night guided entirely by hours of live sacred medicine music, our facilitator Ayama will serve as a vessel for the medicine to do potent work with each of the participants. The medicine meets us where we are, and works with us from that place. So come as you are, and know that you will be held in a safe space.

Areli is devoted to the rise of the Divine Feminine. Her work specializes in guiding women to come home to their feminine essence and their connection to the Earth and Spirit.
She’s been a mentor for over 4 years, supporting women in deepening in their spirituality and stepping into their roles as leaders.
Her greatest teacher is Nature. She is continuously learning and deepening her studies with flowers and plants. She is certified in Himalayan Kriya Yoga, EFT, Spiritual Life Coaching, has an extensive background in Business + Leadership and has dieted in the Amazonian with the Shipibo lineage.

Sisterhood is everything to me. As women, we've been doing this for centuries, it's in our DNA. We are born to sit in circles, our power and Light amplifies. Our transformation is enhanced, because we are all Divine Mirrors - we are our own teachers.
Together we Rise
It was not what I imagined, it was its own thing entirely. It was beautiful, sacred, challenging, transformative and powerful as hell. Full spectrum for sure. My transformation was in the way I trust my inner voice, and in the choices I foster within myself because of that. It is also in the way I trust other women. I have lived my life by women, as friends, family and partners. But in groups I have not had as much experience outside of sports - I do not have siblings and my friendships are very individual. It was very beautiful to have a continuation of what I have found within my reiki tribe, in this group from all over the place. I never thought I'd feel I could imagine what having sisters was like, but waking up every day in CR with you all around, I could imagine it. What a special feeling. As I make choices right now in what is a pivotal point in my life, I also feel this experience impacting those choices - who I will be and the way I am going is affected as I seek the great balance of profession by soul and trade and am finding the ways to embody both.
I would absolutely recommend this retreat to any woman looking to go deep in their spiritual practice, and to be among women from all over the world seeking the same.

(every sister was drastically different and activated something different on my own personal spectrum) and the opportunity for surrender, self-advocacy, and claiming authenticity has enough time to be met and loved on by me or by facilitators. My experience was made beautiful by the in-between parts of activities (the talks, sit-down eats, relaxation, aligned bump-ins with facilitators, and others).
